Our aim
Climate Stewards has been set up to give you the opportunity to minimize the effect of your carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions on climate change. Our aim is to help you understand the problem and what you can do – and then enable you to do it! We want you to stop emitting CO2 whenever possible. In areas where it’s not practical for you to stop we want to help you swap those emissions for carbon offsets. When you have done all you can personally, we want to encourage you to inspire others to do the same.
Who we are
We are a branch of A Rocha, an international nature conservation organization working to show God’s love for all creation. Any money you give to Climate Stewards will be spent by A Rocha on projects directly managed by one of its 16 national teams or by one of our partners. All Climate Stewards projects are closely monitored to an international standard set by the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance.
What we do
Climate Stewards enables you to offset your personal contribution to CO2 emissions through tree-planting schemes and associated activities. The projects you support are focused on encouraging biodiversity and species conservation, so the environment wins both ways. Climate Stewards projects always involve the local community, benefiting the people as well as the wildlife.
