Carbon mitigation

Climate Stewards will plant trees in damaged areas like this in Larabanga, Northern Ghana

The way we live now depends on burning fossil fuels (oil, gas, coal) for energy, pumping more and more CO2 into the atmosphere. This increases the damaging effects of global warming, which is causing climate change.

It will take a while to organize things differently, but you can take action on climate change immediately – by compensating for your personal CO2 emissions by investing in projects via Climate Stewards that help undo the damage.

How does it work? For every tonne of CO2 emission you’re associated with, you pay to help our partners plant trees which absorb at least one tonne of CO2 from the air, or to develop projects which reduce future CO2 emissions by the same amount. We look for a gift of at least £10 per tonne of CO2 through Climate Stewards.
