Climate Stewards takes your privacy very seriously. We will never pass your personal details on to anyone outside A Rocha without your express consent except to third parties acting on our behalf and bound by similar rules.

1. The information we collect from you as a site visitor

Climate Stewards collects information about the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. This information is only collected in aggregate (in other words, we are not able to monitor your individual usage of the site) and helps us monitor site traffic patterns in order to improve our service.

2. The information we collect from you when you donate

If you donate via our payment processor,  eg Justgiving, they collect your first and last name, your declaration of tax status, your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) and your billing address. They will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation via our payment partner Barclays. If you make a Gift Aid declaration, they will pass it on to the Inland Revenue for the purpose of reclaiming tax on behalf of the recipient charity. Your Gift Aid declaration includes your name and home address (which may be different from your billing address) along with the confirmation that you are paying sufficient amounts of tax in the current tax year. 3. Email and spam

There are many opportunities on the site for you to sign up to receive various kinds of communications from Climate Stewards as an integral part of your response to climate change. We are keen to thank you for your contributions and to inform you of the benefical impact that you are making. At the same time we are committed to all practical anti-spam measures. In particular all our emails will feature an 'unsubscribe' facility.

4. A Rocha

Climate Stewards is a global programme of A Rocha International and shares a common database of supporters. You may be contacted by A Rocha International or your national A Rocha organisation

5. Legal Process

Although unlikely, Climate Stewards may be forced by law to provide personally identifiable information to the appropriate authorities. You agree that the application of this Privacy policy is governed by English Law only.

6. Acceptance of our Privacy Policy

Use of the Climate Stewards website and associated services implies acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of it please do not continue to use the website and services. This policy may change from time to time and you are deemed to have accepted the current version each time you use Justgiving.com or any site powered by us.
